The Pro-Series from OceanLED is where it all
began. The revolutionary 1” Thru Hull totally revamped a stagnating
underwater lighting market back in 2006, as it provided yachts the
chance to fit underwater lights in tight areas where previously it had
been impossible to cut a large 4” hole and/or have access for bulb
changes for traditional bulb style lights.
The Pro-Series are easily as bright as competing bulb underwater lights
and in most cases far outperform them. But it is worth noting, in
exactly the same way as surround sound works on your home theatre, a
better effect can be achieved from using multiple smaller lights, rather
than 1 or 2 big ones.
The light engine of the Thru Hull is held on the outside of the
boats hull in direct contact with the water, which provides it with
unprecedented cooling. The Flush Mount arose from a demand to position
underwater lights down the sides of yachts. The Flush Mount is available
in the same sizes/series as the Thru Hulls, so matching light
outputs/colors to Thru Hulls mounted on the transom make it easy.
The 4010 Super Nova is the
worlds brightest underwater light commercially available for boats. At
160 watts of LED power (twice that of a 3010) it lives up to its name!
On larger yachts using 3010 or 4010 Thru Hulls off the transom,
utilizing 2010 Flush Mounts on the sides make for a perfect halo effect.
This is achievable as the same LED is used in all Pro-Series, which make
OceanLED uniquely mixable on the same vessel.
All OceanLED lights are factory sealed, an essential characteristic
for underwater lighting in the marine world. This is a pitfall for
traditional bulb lights which must be opened to change a bulb which
therefore exposes it to the environment. Moisture and condensation can
then be trapped inside the housing and corrode it from the inside out.
OceanLED lights are not designed to be changed i.e. not designed to
fail.
All Pro-Series are available in 3 colors, operate on 12/24vDC (or
110/240vAC input on 2010 and 3010 series only), come with 2 lens options
on 2010, 3010 and 4010 models (50 degree and 180 degree) and all treated
with the ground breaking Tritonium lens coating.
All Pro-Series are available with a delrin isolating sleeve for use on
metal hulls.
All Pro-Series lights are Lloyds, RINA, ABS approved, Ignition
Protected, ABYC H-27 side load compliant.
