The new iScan 180se combines all the
features of our original iScan 180 plus
all the features of our powerful SE-200
Sonar Engine
The iSCAN 180 se has all the
capabilities of the V90 se and Color
Twinscope se plus it uses two
synchronized transducers to provide a
full 180 horizontal forward scan. Owners
can mount one transducer on each side of
the keel to eliminate problems from
“keel shading” on deep keel vessels. The
iSCAN 180se is the ultimate forward
scanning sonar for navigating through
narrow channels, along ledges, avoiding
reefs and rock pinicacles and for
locating and tracking fish and schools
of bait.

TYPES OF FORWARD SCANS
|
|

FORWARD VERTICAL

FORWARD HORIZONTAL
|
The iScan 180se™ performs a
Forward Vertical scan
sending a forward-looking
beam from the surface ahead
to the bottom below. The
Forward Vertical scan is
particularly useful
navigating unfamiliar
waters, detecting coral,
rock pinnacles and other
submerged objects directly
ahead of the vessel.
In horizontal mode the beam
scans over a 180 degree
segment from 90 degrees to
port to 90degrees to
starboard. In shallow waters
the horizontal mode can show
the location of underwater
channels, breaks in reefs
and help direct the captain
away from danger.
