 Ambient noise from the wind, water and engine can easily drown out an underpowered sound system -- especially while underway.  The fact is, without a power amplifier, turning up the volume can often lead to annoying distortion and can damage speakers.  The Clarion APX400.4M marine power amplifier delivers the crisp, clean, undistorted power needed to overcome ambient noise and allows optimal speaker performance.  This amplifier’s compact chassis is designed to be mounted out of the way in the tight confines of cabins, salons and other protected areas.  A fully painted, non-corrosive heat sink, gold-plated terminals and conformal-coated circuit board guard against moisture and condensation.  The APX400.4M also features an adjustable, internal electronic crossover network for properly dividing frequencies to upper and lower range speakers and a bass extender control for dialing in subwoofer performance. (interior use only)
